KYC/AML Policy
Purpose
OceanFunded is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. This KYC/AML Policy outlines how we verify customer identities and monitor activity to maintain a safe and compliant trading environment.
When KYC Is Required
We may perform identity verification:
- When you request your first payout
- When your payouts exceed certain thresholds
- When risk flags or compliance checks require additional review
Information We Collect
To verify your identity, we may request:
Government-Issued ID
Passport, national ID, or driver's license
Proof of Address
Utility bill, bank statement, or tax letter
Identity Verification
Selfie or liveness check to match your ID
Screening and Monitoring
We may screen customers against sanctions lists, politically exposed persons (PEP) databases, and other risk lists. We monitor activity for patterns that may indicate fraud, abuse, or money laundering, such as unusual payout requests or account behavior.
Refusal or Termination
We reserve the right to refuse onboarding, block payouts, or close accounts where we cannot complete KYC, where we suspect illegal activity, or where regulations require us to do so.
Reporting
Where required by law, we may file suspicious activity reports with relevant authorities and are prohibited from notifying the customer in certain cases.
